Annie Getcha Gun

Last post I mentioned a “musical” being over…yep, after more than 5 months of rehearsing, Annie Get Your Gun finally closed! On show week, Frosty decided to come to town, cancelling the show. But of course, 2 weeks later, the show must go on, right?  Anywayyyy, here are some pics for your enjoyment!

Forgive me?

Oh goodness! It has been over a month since my last post. Trust me, I’m not proud of it.  I could make excuses for myself, (which I have) but the fact is, Ive been a lazy susan.  BUT it’s not like I’ve been completely oblivious of this blog world I’ve come to adore, (*I check my favs almost everyday; being inspired more and more) I’ve just been “busy”.  But now that the musical is over, I’ve settled into my new job, and I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel to this lamo sinus infection, I promise I’m back 🙂

                                      Happy St. Patty’s Day everyone!

*Although I’m sure this adorable old man is a sweetheart, this picture gives me the heeby jeebies*

Soul Mates

The other night at a party, several friends and I discussed the topic of soul mates. Personally, I don’t believe in them. I do not think that there is only one person that can make your toes curl, bring butterflies to your stomach, or cause you to think twice. I do not think there is only one person you can fall madly in love with and be happy with for the rest of your life. I believe that if you try hard enough, you could fall in love with absolutely anyone; or noone at all for that matter. I know its cliche but imagine this: You are stranded on an island with a guy/gal you consider a friend, enemy, or even stranger. There is no way either one of you will ever see a human being again. Its just the two of you, on this island, for the rest of your lives. Now, tell me that the two of you aren’t going to have something in common after spending 24 hours alone, just the two of you. Eventually your similarities create chemistry, which becomes attraction, which spurs love, etc. Now, without contradicting myself, I will say that I do believe God has the man/woman (sometimes more than one, for those who marry more than once) picked out that he plans/desires for you to meet, love, marry, and live happily ever after with. I just don’t know that I’d call them soul mates.

Do you believe in soul mates? I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂

Snow Day #2

7 Things I’m grateful for this week:

1. Texas snow days

2. Days when there’s nothing you absolutely have to do

3. Attractive waitors

4. My cocker spaniel, Maggie

5. When people you thought you’d never see again, end up being an important part of your life

6. Pandora’s Augustana radio station

7. Finishing one project and starting another

Happy 8th Birthday Maggie Mae.  You are the sweetest and most loyal friend.

Here goes nothing

So I’m blogging.  I’ve tried it twice before, but it never worked out; I either became bored or probably just forgot my password (fail).  Third times a charm right? Well let’s hope so.  DFW is snowed in today, so I figured I would spend the day starting a new project, blogging.  Sipping ghiradelli hot chocolate (possibly the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted) with pink heartshaped marshmellows, I sat down with the laptop and gave it a try.  I’m already addicted!
